Masaki Hirokawa is a Japanese multidisciplinary artist, UI/UX designer, and app developer whose practice spans visual art, digital media, and interactive technology. He began his career in web design and software engineering, later founding an independent mobile app business that has surpassed 50 million downloads and 3 million monthly active users worldwide. Since resuming full-scale art production in 2019, Hirokawa has exhibited internationally across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Recognized by institutions including the A’ Design Award, Fondazione Effetto Arte, Contemporary Art Collectors, and ITSLIQUID Group, his work explores a symbolic world at the intersection of human consciousness, beauty, and decay, tracing the boundary between dream and reality. Representative exhibitions include LA Art Show (Los Angeles), Ansan International Photo Festival (Ansan, South Korea), and the RenovArt Project (Matera, Italy). Featured in publications such as 365 Art+ Magazine, Le Musee Plus Magazine, and Anthology – The Last Decade 2015–2025, Hirokawa bridges art and technology to create serene yet surreal visual experiences that contribute to cultural dialogue and digital innovation. The design concepts conveyed by this collage are balance and harmony. Each of the hands around the woman reinforces the presence of the others, and the design falls apart if any of the hands are missing or placed out of balance. The woman and the multiple hands around her were conceived as an integrated design. Because each source material differs in size, brightness, and color from the others, each hand was manipulated individually to create a sense of coherence. This work gives form to a design hierarchy based on equality, as its title suggests.
